Certification

Persons changing rank or adding an area of certification must file a CA-1 with Teacher Education Services.  Forms are available from your Board of Education, Teacher Education Services, or the EPSB website www.kyepsb.net . Complete pages 1, 3 and the top portion of page 5.  Be sure to specify the desired action (e.g., rank change, principal certification) on the CA-1 where appropriate.  Page 1 of the CA-1 must be signed by your superintendent prior to submission to TES.

Mail all 3 pages to: 
Teacher Education Services, ATTN:  Trina Matheny-Fisher, 2101 Alexander Hall,  Murray State University,  Murray, KY 42071-3340 

You can pay the fee to the EPSB, online at www.kyepsb.net .
You need to order a transcript online and have it sent electronically to the EPSB.  All Murray State University transcripts are requested through National Student Clearinghouse (NSC).  www.murraystate.edu/transcripts

Montana does not have reciprocity with any state for teacher licensure. To get a Montana teaching license you will need to go through the application process. You will need to submit an application, transcripts, a fingerprint background check, a copy of your current out of state license, a university recommendation and a licensure fee which verifies you have completed a teacher preparation program which included student teaching and that you qualify for the endorsements you are applying for.
